Foreign Tourists Enjoying the Tourism Sensation of Mount Agung Eruption

Although the eruption of Mount Agung is still happening, but it seems that natural disasters are not feared by humans anymore. They simply move to a safe location and enjoy the rare natural phenomenon.

As did two foreign tourists in a photo uploaded by Public Relation National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho this morning, Thursday (30/11/2017). In his photographic information, the two foreign tourists were on Amed Beach Hill, Karangasem. From that safe location, Gunung Agung is clearly visible due to the sunny morning weather.

"Admiring the work of the Divine Foreign tourists see the eruption of Mount Agung from Amed There is no panic because it understands volcanic information well and is in a safe place The dangerous area in Bali is only 8-10 km from the top of the crater # # #BaliTetapAman, "Sutopo wrote in his Twitter account, @Sutopo_BNPB.

Through his cuitannya, Sutopo also asserted that the info of stone throw from Mount Agung is true. This has been confirmed by the Center of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG).

"A stone throw up to a radius of 4 km from the summit of Mount Agung crater occurred on 28/11/2017 noon, so it is not Hoax.Paystones occur after continuous tremor to overscale and then the eruption PVMBG has reported this to BNPB," Sutopo writes.

PVMBG: Lava Growing, Mount Agung Potentially Erupts Again

Mount Agung erupted

The heat temperature in Mount Agung is increasing. If in the last three days heat or thermal value of 51 megawatt Vulcanic Radiative Power (VPR), overnight recorded 97 megawatts.

Head of the Eastern Volcano Mitigation Sub-Division of the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG), Devy Kamil Syahbana, said that the rise of thermal with high numbers means lava growing and many on the surface of Mount Agung.

"There is a growth of lava in the crater of Mount Agung, continues to grow on the floor or bottom of the crater," said Devy at Mount Agung Observation Post in Rendang Village, Rendang District, Karangasem regency, Bali, Wednesday (29/11/2017).

In addition to indicating the number of more lava, it means Mount Agung potentially erupted again.

"Whenever the magma below the surface accumulates the pressure, then when it releases the pressure, the material is exposed to both stone and ash," said Devy.

Volcanic Glow

Related to the bright light in the crater of Mount Agung, Devy explained, it is a volcanic glow caused by lava that is already on the surface.
"We do not have to prove up there to see whether or not Lava has satellite technology, the satellite has been recording lava on the surface and is at the bottom of the crater, growing more and more lavas," he said.
